Inventec, on March 7, showcased its mobile cargo container data center that can save space as well as 20% in costs compared to the traditional way servers are setup.
The company’s current data center uses air-flow cooling, but the company is working on a new model which will feature water-flow cooling for environmental purposes.
Inventec also plans to invest NT$100 million (US$3.17 million) to establish a cloud computing testing center in Taoyuan, Taiwan before the end of 2010.
